The night air cut through Jasmine's dress and into her soul. She looked around, who was she kidding? No one would dance with her, no one would even touch her. The coldness made her pale skin cover itself with a layer of goosebumps. Jasmine walked into the ballroom, it was pretty much deserted. Jasmine sat down on a chair and swung herself around, ever since that night so long ago...She couldn't put it out of her mind. All she wanted to do was go back, see her brother and the rest of her family..But she knew that wasn't even remotely possible. Jasmine stood up slowly, spotting a boy across from her, maybe, just maybe he would fall for her?
Jasmine sat back down, the braveness suddenly gone. She felt tears prickling her eyes, was it to much to ask for someone to love and hold her? Jasmine lay her head on the table and started to sniffle. 'Please, if there is a God up there, please send someone my way, anyone.' she thought to herself. She wasn't really paying attention, but she felt a tap on her shoulder, and when she looked up she was surprised. " He...Hello." she said quietly. She couldn't believe her luck.

It was eerily quiet in the underground. .. What a stupid thing to think. It was always eerily quiet in the underground. It was.. well... under the ground. The subways had stopped working ages ago, so it's not like you had roaring trains passing you every second of the day. Drew shook his head at his own stupidity. He scuffed the ground with the bottom of his shoe, accidentally making a dent in the brick. Oh joy. Cintia would probably yell at him for that later. She ran a "ship-shape" establishment. All vampires were well-mannered and genuine suck-ups... blah, blah, blah. Drew could care less about mannerisms and whatnot -- he just wanted to tear some throats. But not tonight. He was on probation for killing on of the breeders, confined to the underground while the others were out hunting during the only time they could: night.
A familiar scent floated past Drew's nose. Every muscle in him tensed with anticipation. "You've got to be kidding me," he muttered, looking across the ballroom. There, looking hopefully back at him, was some Asian girl. She reeked of human. The hunter in him took over. Drew quickly stepped back, melting into the shadows. He crossed the room by use of them, never once stepping into enough light to be visible by the human. When he finally emerged, he was standing behind the lone chair in which she sat. Perhaps fate was smiling on him today. Licking in his lips, Drew advanced. Not quickly, but slowly. He liked to play with his food. Reaching out, he gave the girl a tap on her shoulder, then recoiled to wait. The girl looked up and stuttered a greeting. Drew couldn't help but smirk. Pathetic and gullible. Just the way he liked his meals.
"Hey," he returned the girl's greeting in an equally quiet tone. "What are you doing down here?" He didn't ask it in an interrogating tone.. only curious. Curious, curious. Drew had a bad habit of coming off as seductive to his prey... only because he relished the look of complete and utter betrayal when he bled them dry. "What I mean to say is... we don't get many visitors like you down here."

Jasmine smiled back at Drew with sincerity, maybe he wasn't who she thought he was. He looked a bit familar, as if he was from the vampire colony, but that was impossible, right? No, it was possible, after all it was night and it was the underground. Jasmine looked him over, if this guy thought that she was his next meal he had another thought coming to him. "I'm kinda a loner, I don't get out that much. I used to live in a colony of vampires, so I know one when I see one." She said flashing him another irresitble smile. Jasmine's black hair was pulled up into a messy bun, and the dress she wore was that of dark blue velvet. She stood up and circled Drew, as if thinking maybe of making a meal of him.
Jasmine extended her hand. "I'm Jasmine, who are you?" she asked hoping, slightly by any chance that this wouldn't overwhelm the vampire with her scent. She knew how to fight, but she didn't want to, nor did she have the strength to at the moment. All she wanted really was to dance with someone, maybe snatch up a boyfriend, as if that was even remotely possible. But looking at him, all her worries seemed to melt away, unvoluntarly of course. "By any chance do you know of a Richard Pritchard?" Jasmine couldn't help but feel a little hope, maybe this vampire could help her comminuicate with him.

The girl smiled up at him with sincerity, and Drew repressed another smirk. Like putty in my hands, he thought dryly. Then the girl said she was a loner, and admitted that she used to live in the vampire colony, so she knew one when she saw one. Damn pale skin! Drew's mental voice fumed. Every time he approached a meal, they picked up on the fact that he was a vampire before he had time to touch them just because he was paler than the palest earthly albino. He'd been albino as a human, which hadn't helped much when he'd gone and gotten himself bitten. Sometimes, his meals picked up on the fact with enough time left to flee. in retrospect, that might be a good thing. It meant less probation for Drew. But anyway. The girl might have a little fire in her,- and certainly knew how to handle vampires -, but Drew had the upper hand. He had superhuman speed on his side. He wasn't worried.
"You'd think," he purred, "what with you coming from a vampire colony and all, you'd know that this was where we vampires spent our time. The underground is our hideout. Yet.. here you are. And smelling so delicious." He licked his lips, stepping forth to intercept her as the girl circled around him. He was so close, they almost bumped chests. And god, did he ever love being tall. This girl had nothing on him height wise. But.. he wasn't done playing yet. One of Drew's fatal flaws was the fact that he took things father than they should go, and they usually ended up exploding in his face. But did that stop him from pushing the envelope? ... What a stupid question. Of course not.
The girl obviously wasn't finished either. She told him her name. Jasmine. A nice name -- fitting. "Drew," he replied, almost snappishly, but not quite. For some reason, being asked his name always caused Drew irritation. Jasmine then asked if he knew a Richard Pritchard. Drew could it help it - he had to chuckle at that. What an unfortunate name. "Sorry -" pause for another chuckle, "-no. He must have been before my time."

Jasmine sighed and turned away. " Don't even think you're gonna be making me a meal. Because I'm not interested in becoming a vampire. Though...I am interested in you, even though I despise vampires." She did feel a little something for him, and it freaked her out. She didn't want to be falling for a vampire. She wrapped her arms around his waist. Then he said his name and she got the sudden feeling as if she knew him. But that couldn't possibly even be possible. After all he did say that he didn't know a Richard.
Jasmine turned and looked at him. " Drew? As in Drew Seater? That Drew?" she asked a little snappishly. Of course it had to be him. There were no other Drew vampires that she knew of. He looked a lot better than he had when she had last layed her eyes upon him. She brushed her hair out of her face and looked back away. " Sorry, Its just..its been a long time since I've seen you. And I don't even think you remember me, though I thought you probably would've since I was the one who was always following you around like a pup.." she said

Apparently, Jasmine was not impressed with Drew's show of bravado. She heaved what almost sounded like an exasperated sigh and turned away from him when he nearly bumped her, rattling off something about him not thinking he was going to make a meal out of her. Drew rolled his eyes, knowing she couldn't see him because she'd turned. He could make a meal out of her all too easily, and she wouldn't be able to do anything about her. But he wasn't ready yet. He hadn't gotten under her skin. Give it a few more minutes, he told himself. Charm her, perhaps? Girls went nuts for that etiquette crap, right? He was about to say something, but as it turned out, he didn't need to. Jasmine continued to say she was taking an interest in him, then turned around again to wrap her arms around his waist. Drew fought the urge to shy away from the physical contact. He was probably freezing cold, but he didn't say anything, apart from answering her question.
Snappish, this one. She spat his full name back at him, catching Drew off guard. Perhaps it would be better for the both of them if he just killed her now.. Wait. She used to.. follow him... Drew racked his brain for some memory of an Asian girl named Jasmine following him around. He distinctly remembered keeping his distance from people in general, yet this girl claimed she stuck by him like a pup. Maybe he'd blocked her out on purpose? Whatever. Might as well pretend he had an idea what in the hell she was talking about. Drew smiled a small, warm smile. "Oh, that Jasmine." He reciproacted by returning the hug-type-thing, wrapping his arms around her waist and drawing her closer to him. God she smelled good. She was close enough now that Drew could hear the blood coursing through her veins. A red haze fell over his vision, and he made no attempt to blink it away. "I remember you. I used to look behind me every few seconds to make sure were still there."
A light chuckle escaped him. Drew bowed his head, pressing his lips to Jasmin's neck. He purposely avoided her jugular, so she wouldn't think he was going in for the kill. After hovering there for a moment, he whispered, "Just one?" He kissed her neck again. "One taste?" Ever so gently, Drew grazed her skin with one of his fangs.

Jasmine spun around and took his face in her hands and started to kiss him, fully on the mouth. " Oh god, I've missed you Drew.." she whispered into his ear. " I can let you have one...one taste...no more." She then kissed him again, the taste of his lips in her mouth and she liked it. " You don't really remember me do you?" she asked softly before she bared her neck for him. She didn't know if he would kill her, but she had a feeling that if she ended up a vampire maybe she'd be his mate. She felt his teeth graze across her skin and it excited her.
Jasmine had almost every thought in her mind going at once. Fear, Love, Death...the last one scared her. She wouldn't let on though, she couldn't. " Drew...be gentle please. I don't wanna die...I wanna stay human. And I know you don't like me, after all you never did." She grimaced and prepared herself for the bite. Jasmine turned around again, looking deeply into his eyes, and started to kiss him again. She couldn't help herself, he was just so delicious. Would he like the kisses that she was giving him? Would he fall under her spell? She highly doubt it. She pulled away and walked a bit away, if he did like her, wouldn't he follow? And if he didn't and just wanted her for her blood, he would just let her go, right?

The girl - oh right, Jasmine - took Drew's face in her hands and kissed him fully on the lips. Not that kind of taste! the voice in his head cried out. NOT THAT KIND OF TASTE!. Drew made a point of avoiding this kind of contact with others, especially humans. He'd seen waht getting close did to people, and he'd prefer it if he didn't have to go through that himself. Not that he could see himself getting close with this Jasmine person anywhere in the near future, but he had been raised better than to say that to her face. Or had he? It was a tempting prospect, to be sure. But how could he drop that bomb when she was bearing his neck for him? He ignored her blabbering about being genlte and leaving her human... there was no way Drew could promise that much. Once he tasted blood, his demon side would take over, and there was no way to stop that side after it started.
Jasmine seemed determined to deny him any chance to bite her, though. Even when her neck was bared, Drew didn't have a second before she was kissing him again. He mentally rolling her eyes, delivering a violent shove to her shoulders at the exact moment Jasmine though to turn and walk away. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he shouted at her, a mixture of annoyance and anger building inside him. "You walk into the vampire underground and then expect one of us not to eat you? That isn't the way it works, dammit!" The anger was replaced with a pang of hunger. Drew didn't fight it. Instead, he lunged forward, his fangs somehow finding Jasmine's throat and sinking into her skin.

Jasmine felt his teeth sink into her throat, felt him draining her and she did the only thing she could think of, she kneed him in the balls and took off as fast as she could. The blood trickled down her throat, she had certainly learned her lesson, don't under any circumstances make out with a vampire. She kept running, as fast as she could out of the dance club and out of the underground, she just wanted to get home, where she would be safe and somewhat sane. She held her neck in her one hand, felt the tears trickling down her face, this wasn't how she wanted her night to go, not at all. She felt very dizzy and the world started to spin beneath her running feet. But she was safe now, away from that monster, away from his addicting looks and smells.
Jasmine's last thought as she passed out was 'I really messed up this time, how am I going to explain to her what I had done?'. When Jasmine awoke she was laying in a soft bed. She looked around her, somewhat freaked out, and panic arose in her. "Where am I?" she asked, trying to get up, only to find that she was strapped down on the bed. "Hello?" she asked " Anyone here?!" she said a bit louder, all the more getting frightened. Was she strapped down for a reason? Did someone turn her? Was...was she a vampire? 'Oh god...Oh god what have I done? I shouldn't have been so so so stupid!' she thought struggling to get her arms loose. She looked up as the person who held her there walked in. " Why am I strapped down?" She asked pitifully.

The "one taste" had been pretty damn hearty. Drew couldn't help it. He was hungry, and Jasmine's blood tasted so sweet.. He'd forgotten how marvelous it felt; the warm, metallic liquid flowing down his throat like it were never to end. Only, it did. Jasmine kneed him right in his.. ahem, "special place." Stabs of pain shot up his abdomen, a pain so blinding and complete that he broke away from Jasmine to release a howl. Very out-of-character for a vampire to howl, but it fucking hurt. But Drew did what he had always done: ignored the pain and kept trucking. He opened the eyes he couldn't remember squeezing shut just in time to see Jasmine loping off down the hall. "Jasmin!" he called after her, hastening to catch up. "Where the hell are you going? You can't--" Oh sweet mother of Jesus, he thought as the pain caught up with him again. I'm going to be feeling that for a while.
But he couldn't think on that right now. There was a bleeding fugitive running through a den of vampires. If they caught up with her... if they found that Drew had left her alive... Even though it hadn't been his fault, - he'd had every intention of killing her -, Cintia would kill him. She didn't take prisoners -- all humans must die, in her mind. The though pushed Drew faster. He caught up with Jasmine in a few more strides, only to find her unconscious on the floor. And there footsteps approaching from farther down the hall. Damn, Drew though. I'm so screwed. But.. maybe not. Maybe there was still a chance to save himself. He gathered Jasmin up his arms and took her to Cintia's room. He knew she wouldn't be there -- she rarely ever was. But it was the only room with a bed. Why? Because Cintia liked to torture humans sometimes. She'd bring them here, strap them to her bed, and eat them. If she came in and found a girl on her bed, she'd think present!, not weak vampire!
Drew brought Jasmine in, laid her down on the bed, and strapped her in. He then was about to leave - he made it to the other side of the door and everything - when he heard Jasmine stirring. She sounded so pathetic, wondering what she'd gotten herself into. Drew couldn't resist the opportunity to rub her stupidity in her face. He stepped back through the door. "Sorry Jasmine," he purred, fighting to repress the sick smile that was threatening to spread across his face. "The other vampires know you're here now, thanks to your kick. I couldn't let them find me with you still alive -- they'd kick me out of the colony. Or kill me. Or worse, feed me to the shifters. So I have to leave you here for my leader to feast on. I hope you understand." There was a malicious glint in his eye as Drew ducked out of the room for good.

Queer... Tally felt more at home in the underground then she did in the above-ground. It was impeccably clean, as vampires were supposed to be "civilized" creatures. Appart from the half-rotted wooden doors and stone walls, it was almost like walking into a castle. But for the fact that there weren't large beams of sunlight slanting across the floor. However, Tally couldn't enjoy the sensation. They were supposed to be on a raid. Where the hell was Jasmine? Tally's arms were full of clothing and hastily wrapped food provisions. She was ready to go. Jasmine was, as usual, late. Tally raked a hand through her hair. The other girl had probably been captured. Or worse. It was a tempting prospect, leaving her behind. But Tally couldn't do that. Not while Jasmine was under her watch. If I get her out of this, she owes me big time.
Tally jogged the length of the corridor, opening doors as she went. She couldn't move too quickly, lest she drop all the materials she held. The fifth door she opened led her to a bedroom. Strapped on the bed was none other than Jasmine, a bleeding gash in her neck. She looked miserable. Tally breathed a half irritated, half relieved sigh. What had that girl gotten herself into? She strode into the room, immediately taking command of the situation. "Thank God," she said, casting Jasmine a glance. "You can't go a day without getting into trouble, can you?" Tally dropped her load on the bed to gather up later, then drew her switchblade from the back pocket of her cold-weather jeans. With a single stroke to each strap, the ties were severed. Tally then grabbed hold of Jasmine's forearm and yanked her. "C'mon. The others are waiting."

When Tally had rescued her she was still crying and going on about how much of a fuck up that she was but Tally wasn't really paying any attention to her. Jasmine got herself back together and looked at Tally, she was a little scared of the girl but now she owed her and owed her big time. " Thank you so much Tally. I'm sorry that things got out of hand. If I hadn't been so afraid..." She broke of stifiling a sob. " I was just..I don't know, I wasn't thinking. Please don't tell Rochelle!" she said applying pressure onto her neck to make it stop bleeding. Everything had happened so fast. And now that the two were on there way out of here, it felt as if it was all a nightmare. But it wasn't. She had the bite marks to prove it.
Jasmine sighed and held her head in her hands. She pulled her hair up and gave a small smile to Tally. Yes, she knew that either Tally would reem her out here or just wait till they were safe and in their own territory. She opted for plan b. Jasmine kept up with Tally, trudging behind her and looking as the rooms got further and further away. " Did I mention thanks?" she said not really sure of what else to say. Jasmine felt awful and worse she felt like a child.

Jasmine was blabbering. This might have actually bore some semblance to an adventure if the other girl weren't so damn predictable. Tally didn't mind having to rush against time in enemy territory - she loved adrenaline rushes. She fought the urge to roll her eyes, knowing that doing so would only illicit more feelings from her companion, most likely spark an argument, and not only serve to attract unwanted monster company, but bog them down and give said company the chance to arrive. Instead, Tally nodded silently, slipped her knife back in her pocket, and gathered up her load. She then took off. Jasmine had no choice but to scurry along after her, as she clearly didn't know where she was going.
Then Jasmine mentioned Rochelle. Tally froze mid-step, her mind reeling. "Don't tell..." she was attempting to echo her companion, but the words wouldn't form. Her head was swimming. This didn't make any sense. "Don't tell Rochelle?" she finally managed. "How do you know about Rochelle? Did everybody meet Rochelle before Daniel told me about the gathering? Was there some kind of party where you all got chatty-cathy and didn't think to invite me?" Realizing she was coming off as jealous and touchy, Tally gave herself a mental slap across the face and pressed on, this time at a jog. "Whatever. Just... come on before we get mauled."

Jasmine could feel the heat in Tally's words about Rochelle. Jasmine looked away briefly. " We hadn't even met before Daniel held the meeting. I swear Tally. It's just...she comes off a little to high in anarchy for me to want to get on her bad side thats all." She said quickly walking besides her. " And you know that Daniel wouldn't ever hold a meeting without you. I mean for goodness sakes girl he is like your best guy friend." she said knowing that she was stepping in a territory she shouldn't be. " I mean I think you two sometimes act more then friends. But hey who am I to judge that?" she quickly side stepped a puddle and continued on her frantic run. So much for dancing and so much for eating too.
Jasmine heard something along the quarters. She stopped for a second, it felt as if someone was following them. " Tally, do you feel...I don't know followed?" she asked feeling a little stupid. Jasmine shook it off. " Eh, I guess it's nothing." She continued on and when she saw the end of the tunnel and the light she sprinted the last few minutes. When she felt the cool air brush against her she smiled. "We made it Tally. We actually made it out of there alive. Oh and Daniel's not gonna hear about this either, right? I mean...I don't exactly blame you if you do tell him but I wanna live ya know what I'm sayin?" she asked.
