Staring up at the mattras above him Liam was trying to think of something to do. It wasn’t like had many options around here. Atleast none that wouldn’t get him in trouble. He sort of felt like doing something.. bad. He was sick of just sitting around waiting for the evening to come. Hell even then they were never really free. He lifted his hands from behind his head and sat up slowly. He could probably escape through the kitchen if he was careful. He wouldn’t be able to get out of the city but honestly right now wandering around the city would be enough to keep him entertained. He never really got the chance to walk in the sun so he’d take the opportunity with both hands. Besides, who knew how much longer he had to live. He wanted to live his life to the fullest as long as he had the chance to do so.
He got up from the hard bed and went through his closet grabbing his sneakers and sweater. He didn’t know for sure if the sun would be shinning so he might as well take something with him in case it would be too cold outside. For a second the thought of Effy crossed his mind. He could ask her to come with him, but did he really want to risk it? If they would be caught he knew there would be hell to pay.. to say the least. He simply stood still for a bit thinking about the options he had. But in the end his protective self won the battle ragging inside his head. He may never have known his parents but he didn’t think they would appreciate him taking the risk of getting his baby sister in trouble. He really wished sometimes that he didn’t have to make this sort of decision alone. He was responsible for his sisters life in a way. If anything would happen to her it would be his fault, all his doing. He grimaces opening the door and stepping into the empty hallway. If only his parents or brother were still alive. That would give him the chance to be the kid too for once. To not have to worry for once about someone elses well being.
His sister was quite the rebel after all. He didn’t think a week could go passed without her doing something against the rules. Atleast she was good at it so she wasn’t caught very often. This didn’t keep him from worrying constantly about her though. What if he didn’t manage to get them out of here in time, he would be dragged of to go mate with some random female they had assigned to him and she would be left behind. They would never see each other again. He wondered how she would do then, since she hadn’t really coped well the last time they got separated. Then she had known that they would see each other again, but if he left now it would be permanent. He shook his head and looked around. He couldn’t see anybody near so carefully opened the door that would lead to the kitchen. He would just have to open the door here and then he would be free, or well atleast for a few hours. Sneaking towards it he felt on edge. He couldn’t help but feel like somebody was watching him, even though he hadn’t seen anybody. Wouldn’t the dorm mother or father have done something if they had seen him sneak in here? He placed his hand on the handle of the door ready to open it right when he heard somebody clear their throat behind him. His eyes widened and he spin around, crouching a bit as if ready to attack, not that he would stand a chance if it were a vampire.
